DishNet Africa Ltd is proud to announce that we are the official Starlink reseller and installer for South Sudan. This partnership with SpaceX brings high-speed, low-latency satellite internet to every corner of our country — from Juba to the most remote villages.
Starlink is a satellite internet service built by SpaceX. Unlike traditional VSAT which uses a few large satellites far from Earth, Starlink uses thousands of small satellites in low Earth orbit (about 550 km altitude). This means dramatically faster speeds and lower latency than any satellite internet available before.
South Sudan has some of the lowest internet penetration rates in the world. Fiber infrastructure exists only in parts of Juba. Cell towers cover major towns but leave vast rural areas unconnected. Starlink changes this equation entirely — if you can see the sky, you can get fast internet. No towers, no cables, no infrastructure required.
Starlink typically delivers download speeds between 50 and 220 Mbps, with upload speeds of 5-20 Mbps and latency of just 20-40 milliseconds. This is fast enough for 4K video streaming, video conferencing, online gaming, and running a business.
DishNet carries four Starlink hardware kits, from the portable Mini ($299) to the enterprise-grade Flat High Performance ($2,600). We offer professional installation across all 10 states, with offices in 7 cities. Monthly plans start at $65.
DishNet has been South Sudan's connectivity backbone since 2013, starting with VSAT and expanding into fiber. Adding Starlink to our portfolio means we can now offer a solution for every location and budget — from a $50/month fiber plan in Juba to a portable Starlink Mini for field operations in Jonglei.
