Android will ask permission to install apps from your browser the first time — tap Settings, allow it, then go back and tap Install. The whole thing takes under a minute.

Install on iPhone in 3 taps

Our native iOS app is on the way. In the meantime, iPhone users get the full DishNet experience by adding the web portal to their home screen. It looks and feels like a real app — same icon, full screen, no Safari chrome.

Open the portal in Safari

In Safari (not Chrome — this only works in Safari on iPhone), open:

Or just tap the Customer Login button at the top of any DishNet page.

Tap the Share button

At the bottom of Safari, tap the share icon — the square with an upward arrow:

On older iPhones the share button is at the top right.

Tap "Add to Home Screen"

Scroll the share sheet down. You'll see "Add to Home Screen" with a + icon. Tap it. Confirm the name (default: DishNet) and tap Add.

A DishNet icon now lives on your home screen. Tap it any time — the portal opens full-screen with no browser bars, just like a regular app.

A quick note on what works and what doesn't: the home-screen install gives you the same UI, login, and features as the Android app. What's different right now: push notifications don't work on iPhone home-screen apps unless you're on iOS 16.4 or newer (released March 2023), and the icon may show a generic screenshot until our dedicated PWA icons are deployed (we're rolling these out shortly). Everything else — the dashboard, Wi-Fi controls, invoices, speed test, hotspot mode — works identically.
